Pre-installation

Fire barrier installation

  • Check fire barrier locations are in<br>accordance with A2O fire barrier<br>setting out construction drawings.

  • At each barrier location, check that thickness of barrier is in accordance with cavity void plus 10 mm compression allowance in according with the manufacture speccification.

  • Manually fold installation brackets to allow the correct embedment into the barrier. this need to be 75% of the depth of the barrier to insure a compression zone within each barrier.

  • Check that barrier brackets are fixed max 500 mm centers with non combustible fixing, as per A2O fixing schedule.
