    • Notify the agent or owner if a smoke alarm is faulty or not in working order.
    • Keep all smoke detectors clean and obstruction-free at all times (do not paint etc.)
    • Replace batteries when required, if you are unable to do so notify the agent or owner.
    • Test smoke detectors at least once a month according to most manufacturers guidelines. This is done by pressing the “Test Button” until an audible alarm will confirm operation. Please note, the alarm may chirp for up to 15 minutes.
