  • Wheels for bulges

  • Protruding objects

  • Tread integrity and even wearing

  • Visual check of spare tyre, wheel jack and jacking equipment

  • Visual check of wheel nut security (check wheel nut indicators if applicable)

Structure and bodywork

  • Check vehicle bodywork for damage (note any damage or attach photo)

  • add photo if required

  • Check for any fluid leaks (fuel, oil, water, hydraulic, brake)

  • ARTC ID signage legible

  • Number plate visibility

  • Reflectors for integrity

Check Fluid levels

  • Water coolant

  • Engine Oil

  • Wiper water

  • Brake fluid

  • Power steering fluid (if applicable)

Windscreen, mirrors and wipers

  • Check wipers and washers for correct operation

  • Check windscreen and mirrors for cracks, security and cleanliness

  • Check operation of brakes (including handbrake)

  • Steering operating correctly?

Lights and Reflectors

  • Interior and exterior lights are operational (headlight, park lights, brake lights, blinkers, hazard lights, reverse lights - be sure to stand to side)

  • Flashing orange light

Interior

  • Horn operational

  • Reversing alarm operational

  • Seat belts are in good condition and are in working order

  • Fuel cards are present (some vehicles may only have one card)

  • Floor mats present and undamaged

  • Checks for warning lights displayed on dashboard

  • All rubbish removed and vehicle clean

Safety Check

  • First Aid Kit present and security tag in place

  • Fire extinguisher is secure and has been inspected within last 6 months (check tag)

  • Safety pins inserted where required (eg tow ball)

  • Toolboxes secured and locked

  • Side panels secured

  • Items carried adequately secured

  • Check Straps, chains and load covering for visual wear

  • Loads covered where required

  • Faults identified and repairs required:

  • Signature

Completed form to be emailed to ADA by end of shift. Any item affecting vehicle safety MUST BE reported immediately
