Access Control -Checks

  • Check the installation, location and siting of the equipment and devices against the system record.

  • Carry out visual inspection of all major components:

  • Check all power supply voltages and charging rates at door controllers and lock PSU's inc mains voltages. Check battery condition and age.

  • Check operation of the reader and LED status for valid, invalid cards and reports.

  • Check operation of keypads if fitted i.e. valid and invalid pin numbers.

  • Check operation of door contacts ( if fitted ) correct indication of door forced and held open alarms

  • Check control equipment in accordance with company procedure.

  • Check the operation of any warning devices on the system.

  • Check operation of electronic release and ensure unrestricted operation of door closure. Visibly inspect equipment and tighten any loose fittings, Maglocks etc.

  • Check operation of egress button and emergency break glass operation.

  • Check operation of alarm inputs/outputs.

  • Check correct operation of PC Software and advise customer on backup of database where applicable.

  • Verify remote operation of lock release from PC including no access or blocking.

  • Check correct operation of ID badge and report printer ( if applicable ).

  • Check system is fully operational and carry out any minor adjustments

  • Resolve any customer questions and issues

  • Photos of any Conditions actions named above
