Installation

  • Broken jaws and unsightly buckled tiles have been removed

  • Tile contact points and chips greater than a 5 cent coin have been replaced

  • General laying is good and all lines are straight

  • Valley cutting has been string lined and looks visually straight

  • Valley Clips have been placed where required

  • Which sand has been provided for ridging

  • Bedding has been done with a bedding frame and looks visually straight

  • Are there any bedding stains on the roof

  • Pointing looks visually smooth with full and correct coverage

  • Is there any point dags on the roof

  • Hip starters are far enough in to gutter to cover fascia and pointed around

  • No leaching is apparent

  • No hips cuts are dropping and all have been nailed up correctly

  • Apex's have been installed / cut in straight

  • Gables are balanced with even overhangs

  • Short courses are on the same pitch

  • Tiles have correct overhang in to gutters

  • Has sarking been installed to 6m rafter lengths

  • Has sarking been installed under overhanging valleys and folded at the end

  • If full sark, the sark has been turned over at the valleys to not obstruct valley water flow

  • If lower roof, the sarking has been installed 1.8m either side below all DP spreaders

  • Nailing has been completed to AS requirements and work order requirements eg galv nails, additional nailing

  • Lead flashing has been pulled up straight and not dished

  • Roof is water tight including all flashing areas and safety rail areas

  • Roof has been cleaned and gutters are clear of any rubbish

Site Conditions

  • Have you walked through the site making sure all unused and rubbish materials have been cleaned up

  • Tile and batten waste has been separated and placed in a bin or tidy pile

  • Has excess batten been cut up and placed in a pile

  • Left over product on pallets have been cleared to the nearest quarter

  • 3 clean spare bungs have been placed at the rear of the block and away from rendered walls

  • The site is clear of food waste and rubbish used by the contracting team

  • Site has been left clean and tidy

  • Gutters and eaves are free of damage

  • Have you completed a walk around the roof and the ground to check for any issues
