  • Instructions: This audit should be re-opened until all items have been inspected.
    It is mandatory that every Cot is to be inspected every month. The gap between the mattress and the cot sides and ends should be less than 20 mm. Check that there are no spaces between 30 mm and 50 mm that could trap a child's arms or legs. Check that there are no small holes or openings between 5 mm and 12 mm that could trap a child's fingers. Place the cot in a safe spot and use locking brake making sure the cot is of a sound condition. This Inspection can also be used for Z-Bed inspections for those properties with them. Records of this task should be kept and filed by the Hotel Manager or the Maintenance Manager, and be available for inspection as and when required by an authorised body

  • If the tray is removeable, the high chair should have a bar to prevent the child from falling forward when it is removed.

  • Ensure that there are no protrusions, sharp edges or spaces where fingers or toes could get pinched or caught.

  • Is the high chair free of any other hazards

  • Is the item in good condition with no defects

  • Do not sign until full inventory has been completed.
