Safety & Health Communication

  • Are weekly toolbox meetings conducted by Safety & Health Officer/Site Safety Supervisor?

  • Are daily toolbox meeting conducted by Site Supervisor/Engineer ?

Emergency Response

  • Do workers know the jobsite location for emergencies?

  • Are fire extinguishers readily accessible?

  • Are fire extinguishers regularly inspected with valid BOMBA Certificate ?

  • Are first aid kits stocked and readily available?

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Are all workers worn Safety helmet at all times while onsite?

  • Are all workers dressed properly for the job? (Long pants, T-Shirts and sturdy work boots.)

  • Are all workers being worn high visibility shirts or reflective safety vests on the onsite?

  • Are the workers using the right PPE for the right Job ?

Housekeeping

  • Are working areas kept clear of materials? (No tripping hazards)

Tools and Equipment

  • Do all power tools have the proper guards in place?

  • Are all cords and outlets or plugs in good condition?

  • Is all equipment inspected, properly maintained and used safely?

Electrical

  • Does the power source properly insulated and protected from elements (water, heat,dust) ?

  • Does the distributing cables from the power source are placed above ground ?

  • Does warning signage placed strategically near the power source ?

Slips, Trips, and Falls

  • Can anything be found on the paths, steps and fire escapes that could cause slips, eg build-up of leaves, wet grass, moss, mud etc ?

  • Are all hoses and cords placed out of travel ways ?

  • Are all excavated ground properly barricaded and warning signage in place ?

  • Are constructed buildings with open edge above ground properly barricaded ?

  • Are workers working on height wear fall protection equipment ?

Scaffolds

  • Are all scaffolds properly tagged, and inspected by competent scaffold inspector ?

  • Were the scaffolds erected and supervised by competent person ?

Heavy Machineries

  • Does the machine operator poses relevant license to operate ?

  • Are there any watchmen on duty to while working nearby heavy machineries ?

  • Are the machineries inspected by the operators before operating the machines ?

  • Are the type machineries used for the right task ?

Means of Access & Egress

  • Are entrances/exits, and walking paths kept free of material, debris, and tools?

  • Are the site main entrance blocked by vehicle/machineries ?

Workers Welfare

  • Are proper sanitary facilities provided for the workers staying in the living quarters ?

  • Living quarters provided with clean water supply and electricity ?

  • Living quarters constructed with suitable materials ?

Environmental Checklist

  • Is there any temporary storage for construction waste ?

  • Is there any temporary storage for scheduled waste ?

  • Are there open burning on site ?

Traffic Management Checklist

  • Are road traffic safety signage installed as stated in the Traffic Management Plan (TMP) ?

  • Are lane closure/road diversion controlled by trained flagmen & installed with traffic control devices as stated in the Traffic Management Plan (TMP) ?

  • Are excavated ground beside existing road properly barricaded by traffic control devices ?
