Scoring System

  • For each criteria in this Field Verification provide a score from 1 - 5 to indicate the Field Officer's level of proficiency. The scoring system is as follows:

  • 1. Not yet trained/does not understand the task/skill.

  • 2. Has basic understanding of the task, but doesn’t always recognise when task needs to be performed, or cannot to perform the task without assistance.

  • 3. Mostly understands the task but still requires further coaching to operate at the required level. Performs the task when required.

  • 4. Competent – understands the task and completes it every time.

  • 5. Has mastered the skill, could be considered an expert.

When performing Field Leadership, please choose 3-5 questions from the below list, that are relevance to the task / role you are conducting field leadership on.

Field Leadership Questions

  • Is the CMW able to correctly identify the components of an AHT?

  • Is the CMW clearly able to articulate the process of resetting an A-stop?

  • Does the CMW know how to conduct a Reverse Switch Check to the S.A.V TOPE Screen

  • Is the CMW able to describe the 4 different lane colours and their meaning?

  • Is the CMW able to explain the difference between body boundary and avoidance boundary?

  • Is the CMW able to clearly explain the predicted path function?

  • Does the CMW understand and knows what In Lane and Out of Lane Predicted path is?

  • Does the CMW know 4 things that will Class your S.A.V Out of Lane

  • Does the CMW have a thorough understanding of proximity alerts and do they understand how to avoid them?

  • Does the CMW know what action to take if they have proximity alert level 4 with a AHT?

  • Does the CMW know the approximate distance a AHT will stop from a S.A.V or an Object Detection

  • Does the CMW follow the correct procedure to shut down their TOPE screen?

  • Is the CMW able to outline the correct process in the event of comms loss?

  • Is the CMW able to list 3 objects that may not be picked up by LiDAR and Radar?

  • Is the CMW able to list the most common zones and describe what they are used for?

  • Does the CMW follow the correct procedure for surveying in LV’s?

  • Is the CMW able to give a basic description of what cusp preferences are?

  • Is the CMW able to explain the benefits of lane splitting?

  • Does the CMW understand headboarding and bias loading?

  • An AHT traction limit is placed where the Water Truck has been travelling. Does the CMW know how long does this remain active for after a single pass?

  • Can the CMW list 4 MineStar Layes of Protection, e.g. (Perimeter Security, Site Procedures, Site-wide stop, Site Awareness, Perception & Predicted Path, On-board Stop and A-Stop
