  • Are reflections and glare eliminated from work area and monitors?

  • Are adjustable window coverings provided and in adequate condition?

  • Are work chairs stable with a five legged base and castors?

  • Are work station chairs adjustable and able to swivel?

Fire Protection

  • Is fire equipment accessible?

  • Have fire extinguishers been serviced in the previous 12 months by a third party? (check at least one per inspection)

  • Are fire extinguishers being inspected monthly by a Shermco employee? (check at least one per inspection)

  • Are exit routes free from obstructions and clearly identified?

  • Are building exits clear of obstructions and doors functioning properly?

  • Has an emergency evacuation or tornado/shelter-in-place drill been performed in the last 12 months?

  • Are employees familiar with Shermco's Emergency Action Plan? (ask at least three employees per inspection)

Health & First Aid

  • Is there a first aid kit in the area being inspected?

  • Are first aid kits properly stocked and inspected? (look for contents list & inspection date)

  • Is an AED available and being inspected monthly?

  • Are there adequate hand washing or sanitizing stations in the area being inspected?

  • Are restrooms in the area clean and sanitary?

  • Are waste containers being emptied routinely?

Training

  • Are employees trained in the use of CPR, first aid, blood born pathogens and AED? <br>(ask at least three employees per inspection) (office personnel 2yr., field/shop 1 yr.

  • Are employees aware of current training requirements for their assigned work task? (ask at least three employees per inspection)

  • Do employees have a basic understanding of the OSHA Challenge Program (VPP)? (ask at least three employees per inspection)

  • Are employees participating in the Safety & Health Points Program? (ask at least three employees per inspection)
