EROSION, SEDIMENT AND DRAINAGE INSPECTION

If an approved ESC plan is required it has been developed with a copy on site?

Have any changes to the ESC plan been

Has the extent of disturbance been minimised?

Are erosion and sediment controls installed, operating and maintained in accordance with the ESC plan and in a manner that controls erosion and sedimentation?

Is upslope clean water diverted away from the worksite?

Are drains or diversion banks installed and maintained to adequately control runoff water in a non-erosive manner?

Are bunds around washdown areas / shaker grids installed and maintained to contain runoff water?

Is the height of soil and mulch stockpiles less than 2m?

Do stockpiles and bare areas require additional protection?

Is material that is excavated being segregated into stockpiles dependent on soil horizons (i.e. grass, top soil, sub soil)?

Have adequate breaks been left for in soil stockpiles to accommodate overland surface flows (e.g. breaks every 50-100m, no stockpiles in drainage lines)?

Are public roads free of mud/soil or debris from vehicles?

If installed, are rumble grids, rock access points and wheel washes being maintained / cleaned effectively?

Is stabilisation and revegetation of exposed areas being undertaken promptly?
