Time is 14:00 hrs and it is reported into the Security Control Room from a retailer that a parasol has collapsed and hit a man who is now unconscious. Fully describe, step by step, what action you would take.

Points that should be considered/mentioned by person undertaking training Level of knowledge 1 to 10 . One being the lowest.

• Call the Public Realm officers to attend the incident.

• Dispatch First Aider

• Move CCTV cameras to view the incident

• Contact emergency services 999 if necessary and notify the control room.

• All necessary persons informed. Security management team and all Alpha call signs.

• Accident log book fully completed gather all information required

• Ensure contact details are taken from anyone involved in the incident. This will enable statements to be obtained at a later stage if necessary.

• Full incident reports are compiled

• Daily Occurrence Book fully completed

• Once injured person has been dealt with, ensure photographs are taken and any necessary evidence is preserved.

• Notes of any further action required
