Fire Protection

10.0 Fire Spread and Compartmentation

  • 10.2 Are any holes or gaps in walls, ceilings and floors properly sealed to ensure adequate compartmentation is maintained? e.g. where utility services pass through etc

  • 13.3 Are fire doors kept shut at all times?

  • 13.4 Are fire doors and door frames free from damage and gaps and provide effective compartmentation?

  • 13.4a Is fire door integrity/strips/seals and all door furniture adequately maintained?

  • 13.5 Where fire doors operate on activation of a fire alarm system, do they fail safe?

14.0 Escape Routes

  • 14.2 Do escape routes lead as directly as possible to a place of ultimate safety?

Fire Systems

  • 18.2 Have fire hydrants been identified on the premises and are they free from obstruction?
