This flushing process is designed to support the wider Legionella management and testing process being implemented through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) procedure. This process should be implemented on a weekly basis, issues recorded and discussed at the management team meetings. Records should be maintained for future statutory inspection and generally held within the ECG file.

The ICC tends to suffer from the lack of investment from previous management lease holders and this is impacting the legionella scores associated with the venue. In conjunction with the SFA some funding has been secured to reinvest in the standard of changing and shower facilities at the venue. On completion of this refurbishment, management should reconsider their flushing process and re-evaluate environmental results in depth to ensure the new legionella 'flushing process' is being effectively implemented.
