Removing Luggage from the Vehicle Boot. Pull the case to the rear of the boot, Place one hand down if necessary to support the upper body, Use the natural pivot point, Lower to the floor under control DO NOT LIFT WITHOUT USING THE PIVOT PONTS. DO NOT TWIST.

Personal Luggage Wherever possible, always wheel the luggage. If you have to carry a bag, always carry in a balanced manner. DO NOT CARRY HEAVY BAGS ON ONE SIDE OF THE BODY OR PICK UP OUTSIDE YOUR BASE.

Picking from Ground Level Place to be foot forward, Unlock the knees, Drive with the legs that initiate the lift, Turn by moving the feet. DO NOT SWING OR TWIST WITH THE BAG. DO NOT LIFT WITH ONE HAND. Place one end down as soon as possible, Push into position

Placing into Lockers Lifting to chest level: Always lift inside base, Turn by moving the feet, (The seat may be used to rest the bag on) DO NOT SWING THE BAG. DO NOT TWIST WITH THE BAG. DO NOT CARRY OUTIN ONE MOVEMENT. Placing in the locker: Drive with the legs to initiate the movement, Get one end down as soon as possible.

Closing Overhead Lockers Place one foot forward facing the locker, Place both hands on the locker DO NOT PUSH LOCKERS FROM THE SIDE OR WITH ONE HAND. 'Dip and Drive' with the legs to initiate the movement (the heavier the locker, the stronger the drive)

Pulling and Pulling Trolleys Pulling or pushing, always: Place two hands on the trolley with one foot forward. Dip &a Drive today start the movement

Canisters Place the weight on your front foot, Take a firm grip of the canister, Transfer your weight onto the back foot Use the natural pivot points to lower the canister into the body, Turn by moving the feet DO NOT TWIST TO PULL WITH THE ARMS

Ovens Take a firm grip with both hands, Rotate the stack on the oven door in order to take a firm grip of the base, 'One foot 'n' move it. DO NOT LIFT WITH FEET IN LINE.

Serving Unlock the knees for lower level work, Turn by moving the feet, Always operate with one forward. DO NOT REACH. DO NOT ERATE WOTH FEET IN LINE. DO NOT TWIST.

Working at Low Level When working at low level, always unlock the knees. Always work inside your base. 'Dip & Drive' to start a push or pull. One foot 'n' move it. DO NOT OPERATE WOTH FEET IN LINE. DO NOT LIFT OUTSIDE YOUR BASE.

First Table Place one hand to support the body weight DO NOT REACH &I PULL WITH BOTH HANDS

Manoeuvring Club World Seats Place one foot forward and your forearm on the seat casing, opposite the privacy screen, Unlock the knees, Push the seat down and fully flat with your hand, using your body weight to create momentum and unlock your knees further. DO NOT OVERSTRETCH BY WORKING OUTSIDE YOUR BASE PUSHING Drive with your legs to move the seat, Reposition yourself if a second movement is required. PULLING Place one foot forward underneath the seat, Place the palm of your hands forward underneath the seat.

Items from Wardrobe Floor Always use two movements, Bring the items close (place one hand down where necessary) Pull the item to the floor DO NOT REACH, DO NO TWIST. Change position, Pivot against the lip, Turn by moving the feet

Opening Aircraft Doors Keep one foot forward - front facing the direction of the pull or push 'Dip &a Drive' to move the lever. DO NOT OPERATE THE LEVER WITH FEET IN LINE Always place one foot forward, Two hands on the object, Strong 'dip & drive' to initiate the movement
