Access and Egress

  • Are all access and egress points to the work area and free from obstructions?<br>(No slip or trip hazards (steps, uneven surfaces, potholes, loose items), or obstructions protruding into these points)

  • Is the designated storage area orderly and items stacked appropriately? <br>(Heavy items at waist height, lighter items higher or lower, nothing above chest height, or below knee height where possible)

Waste

  • Are there adequate numbers of bins / skips available?

  • Are the bins, skips located close to the work area?

  • Are bins / skips emptied regularly?

Hazardous Substances

  • Is there storage available for hazardous substance / chemicals?

  • Does this storage meet Regulatory requirements?

  • Are only "ready use" amounts of hazardous substances / chemicals out in the work area?<br>(As a maximum no more than one days supply, for more hazardous materials no more than a work session supply)

  • Is there a compliant SDS available in the work area for each substance / chemical?
