  • Do all windows open and close?

  • Is there any unused or broken equipment being stored?

  • Are there any damaged cables or overloaded sockets?

  • Has fixed wire testing been carried out? (Every 5 years)

Welfare and Housekeeping

  • Are floors clean and floor coverings intact?

  • Are desks/worktops intact and easily cleaned?

  • Is lighting/heating adequate and in working order?

  • Where light may be an issue from windows for DSE users, are there adjustable window blinds?

  • Is there a drinking water supply available?

  • Is the office clear of tripping hazards, e.g. cables, boxes, stock, rubbish etc?

  • Is the temperature of the room adequate?

  • Is there a good standard of housekeeping?

  • Is there adequate provisions to clean any spills
