Pre-Construction

Construction

  • Is the excavation free of water?

  • Is the groundwater being managed in accordance with CWW's procedure? (PRO-36)

  • Is discharge water being filtered prior to entry into storm water system or waterway?

  • Has the contractor buffered surrounding areas from the effects of discharge water to prevent erosion, flooding or scouring of land?

  • Have silt traps or other control measures been deployed on all drainage lines prior to commencement of works?

  • Have silt fences been correctly installed on downslopes and embankments in proximity to waterways and are they adequate?

  • Are silt traps and silt fences being maintained and inspected during construction works?

  • Are all stockpiles and other material from excavations located at least 10 metres from waterways?

  • Do stockpiles have controls to prevent runoff carrying eroded material?

  • Are contaminated stockpiles managed in accordance with EMP requirements?

  • Are drains, channels and gutters being kept clear?

  • Is the site of the works free of litter and rubbish?

  • Is the contractor employing tarpaulin covering on trucks when carting soil off site?

  • Is there a stabilized access point allowing entry to and exit from the site?

  • Is the contractor adhering to the exclusion ('no go') zones identified for native vegetation and/or cultural heritage sensitivity?

  • Is the noise level at or below general the level required for normal construction activities?

  • Are the works in a known PASS and ASS (Acid Sulfate Soils) area and are the controls in place on site?

Post-Construction

  • Have silt fences been left in position to assist with site reinstatement?

  • Has the contractor completed the site reinstatement for seeding, replanting and landscaping?
