Venue Information

Housekeeping

  • All the backstage rooms have temperature control via the white panels on the wall

  • NO smoking within 10m of the building or near any doorways. Please don’t smoke in the loading dock as it travels into the theatre

  • NO BYO alcohol, as we are a licensed venue

  • Swipe card access is required for most areas, we can leave doors open for performer access or issue a swipe card, please ask the Tech on Duty. For venue and personal security do not prop open doors- especially the stage door. If this is an issue please speak to staff

  • Free Wi-Fi – no password required. WIFI dongle available if required

Emergency Evacuation

  • Our Emergency alarm is a WHOOP WHOOP EMERGENCY one. In the event an alarm occurs please remain where you are until advised by Cube Staff or your stage manager on the need to evacuate. Should an evacuation be necessary this will also be broadcast through our speakers with a WHOOP WHOOP sound and the man in the roof or our designated chief warden will announce to the facility

  • Primary Evacuation point is the grassed area outside the council building (this is to the left as you exit stage door)

  • It is your responsibility to safety vacate the premises through the nearest emergency exit if instructed. You designated rep is responsible for accounting for you and reporting back to staff from the evacuation point

  • First Aid Kits

  • The backstage first aid kit is located next to the tech store door. There are additional kits FOH and in the kitchens the location of these are marked on emergency maps throughout the facility

  • Should you injure yourself please see a member of staff who will attend you and an incident report must be completed

  • If you notice anything that is damaged, dangerous or has the potential to cause harm please report it to a member of staff immediately

  • A risk assessment specific to your show is required, if you do not have one already prepared we can supply a template to be completed at bump in and assess before the performance
