PRE ISOLATION INSPECTION

  • Are there any existing alarm conditions on the controller?

  • Record details of existing alarm code

  • Record the number of stages energised

  • Record the power factor

  • Record as found current, voltage and watts/VA/VARs and compare with previous results

  • Take a photo of the PFC and then also take photos of each physical step.

ISOLATED INSPECTION

  • Isolate Unit

  • Check for any sign of overheating.

  • Check the interior of the unit and air vents

  • Check tightness of all connections, including torque settings on contactor connections

  • Visually check capacitors and reactors for any damage

  • Re-energise the unit

  • Check the voltage sensing circuits and alarms

  • Check fan operation

  • Record as left current, voltage and watts/VA/VARs

  • Provide detail of follow up if required.
