Site Pre-Start Check

  • 1 - Is the site entrance and access route clear?<br>

  • 2 - Is the crane position clear and visually suitable?

  • 3 - Can the lorry get to the required off loading position?

  • 4 - Can the trailer bags be fully deployed?

  • 5 - Is the scaffold platform/handrail at the required height/position, including any leading edges from phasing etc?

  • 6 - Is there suitable access onto the scaffold?

  • 7 - Openings to be protected e.g. voids/stairwells ('Scaffold standards must be flush with boards and positioned accordingly as to not hinder component installation)?

  • 8 - Window openings to be protected to prevent fall out risk at 2nd floor level and above?

  • 9 - Outer skin brickwork to be no lower than 225mm from bearing level?

  • 10 - Are window openings, 1200mm or wider, to be propped prior to installation?

  • 11 - Are the rooms clear and ready for the stated passive fall arrest?

  • 12 - Is the masonry built up to the required levels and the mortar fully cured?

  • 13 - Are all bearing steels in place and fixed/propped where required?

  • 14 - Is the Steelframe, lined, levelled & grouted?

  • 15 - Are all structural obstructions removed, eg purlins, braces, etc?

  • 16 - Are all temporary works (if required) in place i.e. propping etc?

  • 17 - Have the RAMS/Lift Plans etc, been reviewed and understood by the site management team?

  • 18 - Is the site manager aware of what is req'd to have the job ready?

  • 19 - If the installation date needs to be changed has the office been informed?

Pre-Start Acceptance -

  • The Site Manager must sign and confirm that any neccesary changes or works required that have been highlighted will be addressed and carried out before FP McCann's arrival on the agreed date. Failure to do so may result in an abortive visit or a partially completed installation, with any associated costs being passed onto the client.
