Checklist

  • Turn on reception computer screens. (If computers were turned off, turn them on. You can find the psw in the black book password list.)

  • Open Spotify, navigate to the "connect to a device" button in the bottom right & connect to SECURITY-PC. Play music from a gym playlist. (make sure it is not explicit)

  • Ensure that the music is playing through SECURITY-PC and is coming through the facility speakers.

  • Ensure the security cameras are open and showing live footage.

Gym

  • Turn on all lights in the gym

  • Set fans to a slow setting if cold in the morning. If hot, set them to a medium setting.

  • Open louvre windows.

  • Turn on all TV's (remotes are in top right drawer of reception desk)

  • Put TV's on appropriate entertainment. (Kayo-sports, news, YouTube)

  • Ensure gym is tidy, safe and all equipment is stored correctly.

  • Ensure left behind belonging's are put in the lost property cupboard.

  • Check that the drinking fountain is operational.

Toilet/Changing Rooms

  • Turn on lights for both changing rooms.

  • Ensure that each changing room is sanitary and safe.

  • Remove left behind belongings and place inside lost property cupboard.

Pool Area

  • Scan outdoor area for hazards & left behind personal items.

  • Collect any rubbish from the edge of the pools and in the general area.

  • Complete a pool test and ensure that pool levels are satisfactory.

  • Ensure all pool systems are operational using the digital system overview screen.

Reception

  • Check the answering machine for messages, and respond to all missed calls

  • Review shift handover notes from the previous shift, and action any outstanding items/issues

  • Review all emails, and respond in line with directions located in the 'black book' at reception

  • Make sure to report any damage, unresolved hazards or problems you have discovered, by including it in your morning handover & message the SWC group chat to let the team know.
