  • Select correct Sensor - Crowhill or Belfast (the default is Belfast).

  • Select APM.

  • AERON tab - Select Airspace. 3NM_NPR must also be displayed for all runway configurations.

  • SMS tab - Deselect all maps.

  • Select other maps as required, ie, AERON/VOR_TRKS, AERON/RNAV etc.

  • DAN_REST - Select any danger area activity.

  • Check RB Settings: TOWER (ATM) RADAR X-Y Centre Main X-Y Centre Main Scale (nm) 35 Scale (nm) 70 Offset X (nm) 0 Offset X (nm) 12 Offset Y (nm) 0 Offset Y (nm) -8 R-B Centre Main Scale (nm) 65 Offset Range (nm ) 15 Offset Bearing 130

  • Check alignment of PE’s and SSR Site Monitors: Belfast Radar - Alignment Checking: 1. Permanent echoes for PSR: PE1: 14.1nm +/-0.5nm @ 019 degrees +/-1 degree (545253N 0060553W) PE2: 28.1nm +/-0.5nm @ 292 degrees +/-1 degree (544823N 0065815W) PE3: 31.1nm +/-0.5nm @ 203 degrees +/- 1 degree (541006N 0063032W) 2. Site Monitors for SSR: SMS1 (7777) 20.7nm @ 259 degrees (543406N 0064647W) SMS2 (7776) 30.7nm @ 259 degrees (543124N 0070322W) Note: The tolerance of the measurement tools is 1 degree and 0.5nm. In the case of combined Belfast PSR+SSR, either of the means of verifying alignment is adequate. Crowhill Radar - Alignment Checking: SSR MON - 63.6nm @ 251 degrees (541508N 0075239W) SSR MON - 73.7nm @ 251 degrees (541111N 0080821W) Note: The tolerance of the measurement tools is 1 degree and 0.5nm.

  • System -> Area Control Ensure STCA Ex1 & Ex2 are selected Deselect all DAIW areas (will be affected by primary tracks)

  • The following settings should also be checked in the event of any system shutdown:

  • Tracks -> Filters Ensure filter level band set at 004 - 260 On left side of filter box: See labels outside level band NO NO See labels outside SSR Groups YES YES
