This inspection report should verify that all Building Wrap and accessories are being installed per plans, specifications and Manufacturer's recommendations. Any deficiencies should be documented with photos and submitted to Office Administrator.

  • Building Wrap is installed per plans, specifications and Manufacturer's Recommendations.

  • Building Wrap is installed tight; including inside and outside corners.

  • All penetrations have been caulked to exterior sheathing air tight.

  • All penetrations have been properly sealed per building wrap Manufacturer's installation manual. (IE: flashing tape installed shingle fashion etc).<br>

  • Deck ledger flashing installed per plans and specifications. (IE: ice and water behind ledger, pan flashing under door and over ledger etc)

  • Correct fasteners are installed and at proper spacing.

  • Hollow metal door frames are sealed to building wrap with flexible flashing tape.

  • Proper flashings are installed at inside corners, windows, doors, masonry and other dissimilar cladding materials.

  • Sealants and tapes are per specifications and are compatible with building wrap.

  • Flashing tapes are achieving proper adhesion to all substrates. (Installers are using j-rollers/primers etc. to ensure proper bond if adhesion is not being achieved).

  • Horizontal and vertical seams, inside and outside corners etc. are lapped and taped per minimum manufacturer's requirements.

  • Building wrap is installed shingle fashion everywhere and taped down properly: (over all flashings, including shingle tins, drip caps, masonry cap flashing. At the base of the wall over through wall flashings etc)

  • Cap fasteners are not installed too close to areas where building wrap will need to be lifted to install flashings. (IE: at windows, base of wall, etc)

  • Any damaged building wrap has been repaired or replaced per manufacturer's installation manual.

  • Primers are being used prior to applying flashing tapes over fiber faced exterior gypsum board or concrete surfaces per manufacturer's install guide.

  • Cap fasteners are kept away from areas where seam tape will be installed.

  • HVAC units (IE: Magic Paks, P-Tacs etc) have been flashed per plans and specifications. Sleeves are installed so drip line is a minimum of 1/4" beyond whatever cladding is to be installed at that area.

  • Manufacturer's Representative has performed or is scheduled to perform an inspection.
