Vertical Waterproofing Inspection

  • All waterproofing materials and accessories are being installed per plans, specs and manufacturer's installation instructions.

  • The following components have been inspected and found to be installed correctly: drain tile, slip sheets, drainage mats, termination bars etc.

  • Daily waterproofing photos have been taken and posted to share drive.

  • The drain tile system is installed in such a fashion to allow water to migrate from the drain mat to the drain tile uninterrupted (by backfill material)

  • Foundation substrate is acceptable per waterproofing manufacturer's requirements. (IE voids etc)

  • If basement is being heated for frost removal; space is properly ventilated to prevent moisture drive through foundation wall which can cause adhesion failure.

  • Termination bars are installed per manufacturer's recommendations

  • Mastic fillet bead or sheet good materials are being installed at inside and outside building corners if required.

  • Penetrations have been properly sealed (photos taken)

  • Waterproofing that will terminate above grade is covered by flashing material

  • Waterproofing extends onto building structure 12" minimum above grade and weather resistive barrier overlaps shingle fashion.

  • No dirt or mortar droppings have been allowed to drop behind drainage mat/slip sheet/insulation/waterproofing assembly.

  • Manufacturer's rep inspections have taken place or has been scheduled.

  • Drainage mat has been installed so dimples are out and cannot penetrate waterproofing membrane.

  • Fluid applied membrane is meeting or exceeding the specified mil thickness.

  • Mil thickness has been tested at 6 random locations with mil gauge by RWC Supt.<br>

  • Crew foreman has changed. If yes, I have reviewed installation instructions and Pre-Installation Meeting Minutes.
