Is the contractor's plant fit for purpose? (check for missing or damaged guards, test and tag, generator with RCD)

Do earthmoving operators have the correct tickets and Licenses?

Do the earthmoving plant operators have a SWMS? Request to see the SWMS if they cannot produce one, then the job must stop
SCAFFOLDS

Does the person erecting scaffold above 4m have the high-risk scaffold ticket? They must stop work immediately - report this to your manager ASAP

Is the scaffold fit for purpose? E.g. All items are present and secured, no evidence of tampering, has a current Scaff tag and a handover certificate

Has the scaffold been inspected by a competent person within the last 30 days?

Is the scaffold being used for its intended purpose (check the handover certificate), for example, -Safe Work Load (SWL) exceeded? (tools, stored materials, number of persons)
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Are site toilets fit for purpose - E.g. clean and tidy, have soap and water for washing hands and toilet paper ?

Does the site bin have room for more rubbish?

Is housekeeping acceptable? E.g. are walkways free of debris, public footpaths free of trips and slips, contractors are cleaning up as they go.
WORKING AT HEIGHTS

Are fall risks that could cause an injury safely controlled? (including voids, pits, and trenches)

Are all open edges protected? E.g. edges are protected from risk of falls with barricades or scaffold

Are contractors performing work at heights as per their SWMS? Request to see the SWMS if they cannot produce one, then the job must stop
