Scaffold tag

The scaffold

  • Does the scaffolding allow safe access to the property

  • Does the scaffolding have suitable pole protection against impact from the public where required

Ledger, Facade and plan Bracing

  • Is the facade bracing fixed to the standard between 35 and 55 degrees where required

  • Is the ledger bracing fitted to every other pair of standards for the full height of the scaffold where structural transoms are not in place

  • Is the facade and ledger bracing fitted within 300mm from the node point

Scaffold Ties

  • Are sufficient ties used in accordance with TG:4

Handrails, Toe Boards and Brick Guards

  • Are guardrails secured to the inside of the standards with double couplers

  • Are guardrails fixed at 950mm from the top of the toeboards

  • Are intermediate guardrails set at a maximum of 470mm from the top rail

  • Are toeboards secured to the inside of the standards with 2 clips minimum

  • Are brick guards fitted on working lifts where there is a risk of falling materials / tools

Fall protection

Ladder / Stair Access

  • Has an extended transom been fitted to the intermediate rail of the 1st boarded lift?
