Is this a General Manual Handling observation?

When lifting, TM is close to the load with shoulders and feet apart.

TM is bending from the hips with bottom out.

TM has full grip on the load.

TM lifts by straightening hips and bringing bottom back in.

TM moving feet and not twisting from waist.

TM using correct equipment (e.g. Safety step or ezi kneel pad) where applicable.

Is this a Apparel Manual Handling observation?

TM has full grip on apparel by holding hanger with whole hand.

Using both hands to grasp large bundles of apparel.

Elbows in when reaching up to hang apparel.

TM lifts by straightening hips and bringing bottom back in.

Safety step used when hanging items above shoulder height.

Is this a using Cages Manual Handling observation?

Cage in correct working order (including hand guards).

Cage is stacked within cage height limits.

Load is stable inside cage.

Brakes applied when filling into / from cage.

Cage is pushed when moving and TM is using both handles.

Is this a Housekeeping observation?

TM maintains access to emergency equipment when working.

TM cleans as they go, not causing slip or trip hazards.

TM is on the lookout for hazards as they work.

Is this a Working at Height observation?

When using ladders, TM has three points of contact at all times (e.g. 2 hands, 1 foot / 2 feet, 1 hand).

When ascending / descending ladders, TM only carrying items they can comfortably carry under one arm (I.e. Maintains three points of contact)

TM is aware and uses the tactile tape on reserve ladders to let them know they are coming to the bottom step.

Is this a Traffic Management observation?

TM is wearing high visible vests when in traffic able area.

TM is trained to use equipment and safely uses it as per their training (e.g. Pallet jack, Walkie stacker, Forklift).
