The purpose of this walkround inspection is to identify and recognise both positive and negative findings focusing on the area's of the safety plan. It is intended as a tool to motivate and drive change to ensure consistent required standards are achieved.

1.1 Review personal safety in the workplace, PPE, use and condition of access equipment, safety harness etc.
PPE - overalls, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear protection and any specific PPE required for the specific task in work.
Equipment - condition is serviceable or where unserviceable is identified as out of use and is controlled with defect raised for rectification. Confirm that engineers inspect equipment serviceability before use. Witness correct access equipment in use including use of safety features e.g handrails and/or safety harnesses

1.2 Review maintenance task in progress, use of procedures, manuals, tooling, supervision, apprentices.
Use and reference to AMM, CMM, IPC, IPD. Knowledge of procedures and standards applicable to the task e.g. Verification and duplicate inspections of critical maintenance tasks that could affect aircraft safety. ETOPS dual maintenance awareness. Tools and equipment in use is that specified in the AMM.
Supervision of the task and engineers including apprentices is evident and effective.

2.1 Review housekeeping standards in the workplace including vans, parking, equipment/tools storage condition and control, office, store, hazards, flam cupboards, expiry dates etc. Speak to individuals and check there attitude toward pride in our work place.
Documentation related to the task including task cards, log and work packages is suitably protected from damage or loss and us well organised an managed.
