Normal Shut Down Procedure for Each Machine & Blow Mold Room

  • Shut off Hydraulics First and Leave Heats On

  • Shut off External Circuit (shuts off Power to Trimmer blowers and shuts off Cooling Bed/Trimmer

  • If you will not use machine again during shift, shut off Air Line to Trimmer

  • If you will not use machine again during shift, shut off Heats (make sure you don't need to run this line)

  • Make sure Top of Molds are Clean, Z Step and Catwalk has all tools removed and is clean, and all Guards are in proper place

  • Make sure Cooling Bed is clear of bottles and debris stuck to flight bars and Trimmer is clear of all bottles and trim

  • Grinding Room Shutdown: Shut off Grinder, Shut off Blower, Shut off Vacuum Pump (if not auto), and Shut off Blender

  • Shut off Blow Mold Chiller, Material System and Conveyor Lines if done for the shift or weekend
