Opening Checklist

  • Patio up to Guest Expectations: tables, trash cans, sand pits and menus

  • Restrooms clean and stocked up to Guest Expectations

  • Employees fully uniformed and following policy: name tag, shirt tucked, belt, hair restraint, black pants, hat or visor, etc...

  • Employees wearing gloves when working at following stations : ice cream, expo, fountain, dresser, grill, front and back swamp

  • Deposits: day shift deposit taken to the bank prior to 6pm

  • Deposits: evening shift deposit taken to the bank prior to 11am

  • Ensure floor is clean and free of grease, trash and boxes

  • Bill Paying: ensure Ben E. Keith and Bimbo invoices have been paid and entered into FPO

  • Food Truck Order: ensure Ben E. Keith food order has been reviewed and sent

  • Check for all outside canopy lights are working

  • Cyber Logs: ensure skimmer and visitor logs are being verified and filled out daily

  • Thermometers: ensure all refrigerated units have a working thermometer and can be read easily

  • Cabinets: ensure ice cream and shake machine cabinets are free of spills and cleaned

  • PrepWizard: ensure all prepped items have a temperature tag and is current and not expired

  • Sanitizer Buckets at required stations and proper temperature and concentration: dresser, grill, front swamp, fountain, ice cream, Drive-Thru ( if available)

  • Ensure that the POS system is working properly

  • Ensure that the non-available Item list is written on the board & everybody is aware

  • Guest Interaction: Have you done your walk-thru and checked on guest outside, VOC surveys

  • Any complaints, equipment issues, and employee call-ins? list in detail on notes

  • Pre-Shift Meeting conducted on day and evening shifts

  • Shift Position Chart reviewed and set up for the day
