Daily Checklist

  • Entire System - Rough cleaning after every shift

  • Internal machine area - Remove chips from the entire interior area of the machine, preferably by vacuuming, sweeping or wiping with a cloth

  • Clean profile face - Blow clean with compressed air (Wear safety googles) or use fibre-free cloths, brush or vacuum (DO NOT WIPE, ALSO TO NOTE: NOT FOR MACHINES ON WHICH FIBRE-REINFORCED PLASTICS OR COMPOSITE MATERIALS ARE SAWN)

  • Guide systems - Suction cleaning, sweeping or wiping off swarf

  • Clamping cylinder - Check seal integrity; check clamping buffer for signs of damage (replace if necessary)

  • Saw blade - Blow clean with compressed air (Wear safety googles) or use fibre-free cloths and inspect for broken teeth, scoring, cracks and breakage (DO NOT WIPE, ALSO TO NOTE: NOT FOR MACHINES ON WHICH FIBRE-REINFORCED PLASTICS OR COMPOSITE MATERIALS ARE SAWN)

  • Pneumatic spring on saw arm - Check of the function for the forced return of the saw arm to the home position if pressure drops and keep free of dirt

  • Pneumatic lines and connections - Blow clean with compressed air (Wear safety googles) or use fibre-free cloths (DO NOT WIPE, ALSO TO NOTE: NOT FOR MACHINES ON WHICH FIBRE-REINFORCED PLASTICS OR COMPOSITE MATERIALS ARE SAWN)

  • Pneumatic maintenance unit - Blow clean with compressed air (Wear safety googles) or use fibre-free cloths (DO NOT WIPE, ALSO TO NOTE: NOT FOR MACHINES ON WHICH FIBRE-REINFORCED PLASTICS OR COMPOSITE MATERIALS ARE SAWN)

  • Spray unit - Check the fill level and top up as needed

  • Swarf box - Empty swarf box at the saw

  • Control consoles and air-cooled main electrical cabinets - Regularly inspect and clean the air intake and outlet filters (replace if necessary)

Weekly Checklist

  • Entire system - Thorough cleaning

  • Guide system - Lubricate with machine oil

Monthly Checklist

  • Saw arm bearing axis - Lithium-stiffened grease on mineral-oil basis ISO-VG 68 to 100

  • Pneumatic lines and connections - Carry out a visual inspection for cracks and porous areas; check that screw connections are securely seated and free of leakage

  • Electrical wiring and connections - Check to German social accident insurance (DGUV) regulation 3
