Before Every Shift check - Safety devices/Protective equipment

  • Entire System - Rough cleaning after every shift, broom clean

  • Internal machine area - Clean swarf out of entire internal area of machine (Suction/sweeping or cloth to be used)

  • Clean profile face - Blow clean with compressed air

  • Gear racks - Suction cleaning, sweeping or wiping off swarf

  • Guide System - Suction cleaning, sweeping or wiping off swarf

  • Clamping cylinder - check seal integrity; check clamping buffer for signs of damage (make note if replacement is required)

  • Tools - Check for signs of wear and/or damage (make note if replacement is required)

  • Pneumatic lines and connections - Blow clean with compressed air or use lint-free cleaning cloths

  • Pneumatic maintenance unit (Water Separator) - Blow clean with compressed air or use lint-free cleaning cloths and check seal integrity/leakage; water separator: check fill level and drain if necessary

  • Electrical wiring and connections - Blow clean with compressed air or use lint-free cleaning cloths

  • Spray Unit, tool lubrication - Check fill level and refill if necessary

  • Pulsed Coolant System, gear rack lubrication - Check fill level and refill if necessary

  • Control consoles and air-cooled main electrical cabinets - Regularly inspect the air intake and outlet filters, clean if soiled (Replace if necessary)

  • Polycarbonate pane in safety hood - Visual inspection for damage (holes, cracks or clouding)

  • Machining spindle - Check if replacement is required (This has to be carried out by Elumatec staff, non-compliance causes the warranty to become void)

Weekly Checklist

  • Entire System - Thorough clean

  • Guide System - Lubricate with machine oil

  • Linear Guide, X,Y & Z-axis - To be greased with Multi-purpose grease (Order no. 88907128)

Monthly Checklist

  • Pneumatic Lines and connections - Visual inspection for cracks and porous areas, check that screw connections are securely seated and free of leakage

  • Electrical wiring and connections - Visual inspection for cracks and porous areas, check that screw connections are securely seated and free of leakage

  • Linear guide for material stop up/down - To lubricate use multi-purpose grease (order no.88907128)
