Van Checks
The van checks must be completed at the start of each shift by the CDA using either "R" or "G" or "N/A" if the engine is warm in the case of
oil and radiator/coolant checks
The CDA initials must be clearly visible to confirm who has completed the checks
Any defects recorded must be entered onto a defect sheet and the van defect tracker found before the van defect report forms,
notifying the Dotcom Manager or Team Support of the issue
If the van has not been used or has been with the service provider, "VAN NOT IN USE" or "VAN IN GARAGE" must be recorded in all
relevant columns for that day.
Mileage Completion
The start and end mileage of each shift must be recorded and there should be no difference between the "Actual End Mileage" and the "Actual Start Mileage" for the following shift
Dotcom Manager Daily Checks
The Dotcom Manager or designated Team Support must review sections 'B', and 'C' in the van record book, ensuring full completion (including defect sheet if required), write their initials and ensure next steps are recorded for any exceptions
Van Weekly Checks
The weekly van checks must be completed by a designated CDA ensuring that any RED lights are recorded and remedial action taken
Weekly Management Van Checks
A physical check of each van must be completed weekly by the Dotcom Manager or Team Support
Dotcom Manager Weekly Review
The Dotcom Manager must review completion of all aspects of the Van Record Book on a weekly basis with any exceptions being recorded
