Laser Arena

  • How does the venue turn on their games, lights etc in the morning to get the venue open?

Pinspotters / Ball Returns / Scoring CPU’s

  • Which Pinspotter type does the venue have currently? Example: AMF 82/70, AMF 82/70Xli, AMF 82/90Xl, Brunswick GSX, Brunswick A/A2, Qubica TMS / Edge

  • How many pinspotters are in the venue?

  • What time are all systems turned on and off and are they turned on manually or via touch screen?

  • Behind the curtain wall including BOH tech areas list what remains powered on 24/7?

Air Conditioning

  • Does the venue have control over their AC on/off timings and the temperature set point?

  • Is this done via a venue based Building Management System (BMS)?

  • Does the venue have standard wall mounted AC controllers?

  • Are the set points set at the desired rate? Heat 21deg. & Cool 23deg.

  • What is the temperatures currently set to?

  • Do the venue team regularly clean the AC vents to ensure the air flow is good?

  • Do you know where the location of the A/C Thermostat?

  • Using a separate thermostat, compare the ambient temperature in location of A/C temperature sensors. Is the A/C system displaying the correct current temperature?

  • Are there any areas within the venue where A/C may be escaping into areas where A/C is not required? (example might be missing ceiling tiles or openings to ceiling cavities)

  • Please advise where they are located?

  • Does the venue team have the ability to adjust the thermostat?

  • Where are these controls located?

  • How regularly are you checking to see if set-point has been adjusted?

  • Does your system have the ability to lock settings?

  • Can controls be isolated behind a locked cabinet or similar to prevent tampering?

  • Does your venue have an Air-Lock at front entrance?

  • Is there any particular area within the venue that are known hot or cold spots that are inconsistent with rest of venue?

  • Are both doors fully operational and sensors aligned to minimise time doors remain open unnecessarily?

  • Can some units be turned on later than others depending on the area they service?

Venue Lighting & Power

  • Do the lighting circuits turn on via an automated method (smart system via touchpad)?

  • How does the venue turn on lighting circuits?

  • Does the panel have Trade, Non-Trade & Cleaners Mode, and any other modes?

  • List exactly what is powered on when venue is in “Cleaners Mode”:

  • What percentage of front and back of house lights are on?

  • Is external signage lighting on?

  • Is any external lighting that otherwise would be off turned on?

  • Are any AMD games on?

  • Are POS systems or other computers on?

  • Are lights above lanes on?

  • Please note down any changes that can be made whilst venue is on Cleaners Mode & Non-Trade mode to reduce power use:

  • Are the lighting circuits in the venue broken up into various banks of lights when switching? Could you isolate various sections for Cleaners for example?

  • Is all lighting energy efficient LED’s in venue?

  • Are there any older technology lights in the venue that could be upgraded to LED? Florescent, CFL, Dichromic Downlights?

  • Please advise which areas:

  • Roughly what percentage of venue lighting is currently LED?

  • For newer venues with significant LED Strip lighting on shopfront, do these lights turn off with venue power?

  • Is external signage illuminated 24/7?

  • Is external signage illuminated unnecessarily throughout the day?

  • Do menu screens at POS counters for advertising screens come on with trade mode?

  • Does your venue have ANY motion sensors that activate lighting?

  • Is there any lighting that produces excessive heat due to lighting type/design/age?

Scoring monitors;

This includes, Fryers, Grills, Hot Plates, Ovens, Microwaves, Hot Boxes, Salamanders, Milkshake Makers, Fridges & Freezers (please note underbench 2 door, 3 door, free standing or walk in) and anything else electrical or gas related. Please ensure Quantity, Type (gas / electric), Brand, Age (if unknown, please provide est), Amperage (10,15,20,32 amps), Last service date & Frequency of Servicing is included. Pictures are required of all items listed.

  • Do you believe some older items can be changed over to more energy efficient units?

  • What is the current turn on/off times for all kitchen appliances?

  • Does the venue team regularly clean the filters, vents and compressors on the refrigeration equipment in venue?

  • Are the door seals to the refrigeration equipment in good condition?

  • Are all walk in freezers & Cool-rooms sealed and serviced accordingly?

  • What are the current temperatures of the refrigeration equipment?

  • Are all existing refrigeration maintained on an occurring quarterly basis?

  • Please advise what time your current exhaust fan comes on & turns off?

  • Is it currently manually switched on by the team?

  • Is there an option to install a timer?

  • Is it currently turned on through HVAC system?

Advertising Screens

  • Do all the advertising and price point screens in the venue switch on and off via and integrated or dedicated circuit?

  • Are on/off timers configured in the Phillips TV software to only turn on advertising TV’s during trading hours? (separate from mains power)

Entrances and Glazing

  • Is there expanses of glazing at the front of the venue, especially glazing that faces North?

  • Is this glazing protected with a form of window tint?

  • Do you have air curtains at your entrances to the venue?

Additional Recommendations

  • Is the site a good candidate for installation of solar panels?

  • Are there any additional recommendations/green initiatives to reduce energy costs?
