DETCTOR TEST

This test requires two people, one to set off the detector head and the other to silence the alarms on the Fire Panel

- Inform Engineers and all crew of fire detector test
-
- Visual inspection of unit
-
For smoke detectors:
-
- Put fire panel into 'test mode'. Instructions on how to do this are next to the fire panel in the Bridge
-
- Take fire detector tester to the test location and test detector head
-
- Silence the alarm from the Fire Panel on the Bridge
-
Gas detectors can be set off with the fire detector tester too
-
Gas detector reset is in the hi-fog room, just behind the top of the ladder
