- Inform Engineers of damper test

- Visual inspection of unit

- Close the damper and assess how seized it is

- Cycle the damper between open and closed a few times, lubricate with T9 if necessary
-
- Reset the damper by holding open the flap with the handle, engaging the pull chord action lever and slowly releasing the handle so the spring load of the flap rests on the action
