5.3.1 Reporting of Unserviceable Conditions

  • List MMP References:

  • a. Are all details of unserviceable conditions discovered, experienced or reported during operation or maintenance recorded at the first opportunity after the condition is identified, and at least before release of an aircraft from maintenance?

  • b. Are all unserviceable conditions documented in a relevant and approved State Aircraft and/or Aeronautical Product maintenance record and documented with the requirements defined in TAREG 5.2.1d?

  • c. When an unserviceable condition is the result of other than fair wear and tear, does the AMO prepare a documented report meeting the content and reporting time-limits defined by the relevant AEO and forward it to the AEO?

  • d. Does the AMO ensure that State Aircraft and/or Aeronautical Product that are subject to reporting of an unairworthy condition IAW TAREG5.3.1 are quarantined from other State Aircraft and/or Aeronautical Product, and appropriately identified to show the item is subject to reporting action?

5.3.2 Reporting of Unairworthy Conditions

5.3.3 AMO Investigation of Reported Unserviceable and Unairworthy Conditions

  • List MMP References:

  • a. Unless otherwise specified by the AEO, are all unserviceable and Unairworthy conditions reported IAW TAREG 5.3.1c and 5.3.2 investigated by the AMO, and a report forwarded to the AEO within 15 working days?

  • b. Does the AMO report to the AEO within 24hrs when, during an investigation the AMO becomes aware of a condition which could;

  • 1. cause the loss of an aircraft?

  • 2. cause a failure of an emergency system or life support system? or

  • 3. adversely affect wider fleet operations?

5.3.4 Other Reporting Requirements

  • List MMP References:

  • a. Unless covered as part of a report submitted IAW TAREG 5.3.1c or 5.3.2, does the AMO submit a report to the AEO where;

  • 1. unapproved Aeronautical Product has been received?

  • 2. an installed aircraft system component has been identified as an unapproved Aeronautical Product,<br>a system or component is believed to make the State Aircraft? or

  • 3. Aeronautical Product substandard for the required system performance, or the packaging of State Aircraft or Aeronautical compromises technical integrity?

  • b. Does the AMO comply with any other failure or unairworthy condition reporting requirements defined by the AEO for State Aircraft or Aeronautical Product?

  • c. Unless otherwise stated by the TAR or responsible AEO, does the AMO comply with all reporting requirements defined in applicable AMD?
