2. Vehicles fitted with hydraulics (High Loaders etc) - Are hydraulic hoses replaced as a minimum every 10 years and subject to inspection on every maintenance check?

2. Do the vehicles have equipment pre-use checklist?

3. Are all the lights and indicators working correctly? (check 5 random pieces of GSE)

4. Are tyres in good condition with no visible defects? (check 5 random pieces of GSE)

5. Are dolly / cart brakes functioning correctly? (check 5 random dollies / carts)

6. If fitted, are windscreen wipers and blower working correctly?

7. Are vehicles fitted with fire extinguishers and are the extinguishers serviceable (needle in a green zone and within required service intervall)?

8. Operators Area - Is operators seat in good condition, the area free from FOD, and seatbelts operational (if fitted)?

9. Is GSE fitted with orange beacon (rotating or flashing) and is the beacon functioning?

10. Are all GSE parts interfacing the aircraft protected with good quality buffer and are all buffers in good condition (no cracks or protruding elements)?

11. Are tow hitches in good working conditions (check 5 pieces of GSE)?

12. Are GSE fitted with emergency stop buttons and are those working correctly (test on 3 pieces of GSE)?

13. Are vehicle windows free from cracks or chips?

14. Are all wheel studs in place on GSE wheels (check 5 pieces of GSE)?

16. If fitted, are wing and rear view mirrors in good condition?

17. Are vehicles fitted with audible reverse alarm?

18. Is GSE less than 10 years old (15 years for hi-loaders) - check manufacturer's data plate?

19. Is there a formalised process for GSE acceptance on station (initial GSE check - ask station management)?

20. If vehicle is visibly altered from manufacturer's specification, has manufacturer's approval been received (ask station management)?

21. Is GSE defect reporting system in place (ask to see last 5 defect reports, ask to see last 5 defect reports)?
