EXCAVATION AND TRENCHING

  • Statutory notification submitted

  • Trench benched, battered or shored adequately

  • Barrier and signage to protect workers and public

  • Penetrations protected to prevent fall of people & materials. Covers (incl grid mesh) securely fastened in place.

  • Work at heights controls implemented

CONFINED SPACE

  • CSE permit in place and controls implemented

  • Entry/Exit log maintained (See permit)

  • Gas monitoring in place

  • Observer/standby persons present

  • PPE and signage inplace

  • Rescue Plan in place

ELECTRICAL

  • Electrical tools and leads tested and tagged (3 monthly)

  • Electrical leads elevated and insulated from metal objects

  • Electrical supply panels secure (no unauthorised access)

  • RCDs fitted and tested Monthly (check site sheds)

  • Extension leads single length only

LIFTING AND RIGGING

  • Crane Safe green sticker (Current 12 month)

  • Lift study completed for lifts (Where required)

  • Plant has SWL/WLL clearly marked

  • Lifting gear register current (3 monthly inspection completed)

  • Rigging gear in good condition, SWL marked

  • Rigger/dogman used to control the lifting loads

  • Lift areas delineated and clear of persons

WELDING AND HOT WORKS

  • Hot Work permit in place and controls implemented

  • Flash back arresters, flash protection & weld curtains

  • Earthing in place, leads tagged and in good condition

  • Oxy bottles secured and stored separately
