Location of existing Hot Water Cylinder if applicable? 3. Is there evidence the existing system is a 1 pipe or 2 pipe system? 4. Are the hot water primaries pumped or gravity? 5. What type of controls system? a. Y Plan – Boiler flow is diverted through 3 port valve to heating, hot water or both. b. S Plan. - 2 separate 2 port valves control water to heating or hot water c. W Plan. - Pumped heating circuit and gravity fed hot water. d. C Plan. - Boiler flow is diverted through 3 port valve to heating or hot water 6. Location of any existing room thermostats 7. Is there evidence of the use of Low Carbon Steel/BS1387 pipework in the existing system? 8. Is there evidence of micro bore pipework being used in the heating system? 9. What is the the size of the incoming cold water main size? 10. Is there sufficient cold water flow to the unvented cylinder?
