Check-In

  • Fixtures and fittings, paintwork and floors are clean and free from obstruction and litter

  • Carpets clean and vacuumed daily

  • Team in correct uniform and wearing name badges

  • All lighting fully operational and dust free

  • The desk is to be set up as per hotel merchandising guide with no drinks or personal belongings

  • All POS displayed in-line with the hotel merchandising guide

  • Kiosks clean, in good repair and screens free from finger marks

  • Doors display the correct quiet time vinyls, clean and in good condition

  • Items such as irons and ironing boards, spare fans, hairdryers, bath mats and shaving adaptors should be appropriately stocked and in good working order

  • Key card boxes if present are to be regularly emptied

  • Each time the desk is left unattended the screen must display the BART login screen - do not leave any personal guest information as this contravenes the Data protection act

  • The only signs permitted on the desk are: "Nobody here" which must be displayed when reception is unattended, "See you again soon" displayed until 12:00hrs, "Fire Alarm dont be alarmed"

  • Vending machine product stock levels must be at least 25% full and must contain bottled water. Vending machine faults or stock replenishment orders must be logged within your nominated supplier

  • Night team Specific section: Night teams to enusre sites are safe and secure and that any excess noise is eliminated. The front entrance must be locked at 23:00hrs

  • Curtains evenly opened, with all hooks fitted into the track

  • Beds and cots set up as per Bed Set Up guide

  • Check scatter cushions and throws for marks and stains on both sides

  • Consumables tray/area fully stocked as per occupancy set-up

  • There is never any evidence of the previous guests, and the room is set up correctly for the arriving guests

  • A Gideon bible is placed in the bible box closest to the bathroom wall (wardrobe in Ex PL sites)

  • Check interconnecting room doors are locked

  • The Bathroom

  • Bathroom spotlessly clean and mould free including chrome fittings and tiles

  • Mirrors should be clean and streak free

  • Bathroom to smell clean and fresh

  • Dispensers should always be stocked well to cover the room occupancy, with pouches fitted correctly and primed

  • Soap and Hair & Body wash replaced as per ‘Dump at the Pump’ guidelines

  • Check the bath plug is always attached to the chain

  • The bin liner should be tied tightly for child safety and placed inside the bin

  • Shower curtain pulled halfway across the bath and hanging inside

  • Shower curtain is crease free and has no shower gel/shampoo residue

  • Every shower hook is hooked into a metal eyelet

  • Shower screen free from smears

  • Shower head does not drip

  • Shower tray, plug and walls are free from hair

  • Mixer taps set to bath and warm, not shower and hot

  • ‘Caution hot water’ sticker in place

  • Bath/ sink free from hairs, soap or toothpaste residue, water marks and lime scale

  • Towels and Green PoS placed on towel rail

  • Only one hand towel and bath mat per room, bath sheets dictated by occupancy

  • Folded bath mat placed over the edge of the bath

  • Bathroom fixture and fittings free from any chemical residue

  • Toilet seat not loose or broken

  • Ample toilet roll/tissue for one night in line with occupancy.

  • Any marked/soiled towels or bath mats must be rejected in line with current reject guidelines

  • All tiles and grout are spotlessly clean and show no signs of mould

  • Under rim of toilet checked to ensure scrubbed and cleaned correctly as per brand standard

Safety & General

  • Fire evacuation procedure clearly displayed and inn good order

  • Worksafe poster signed and up to date

  • Current weeks worksafe checklist completed or being completed

  • Fire exits all clear and obstruction free

  • Check night walks being completed. either Co-Guard print out or signed sheets to confirm

  • Dirty linen stored in locked cages away from building or secured internally

  • HKRB up to date

  • Check mate being utilised at site and up to date

  • Review linen stock in linen rooms. Is ample stock available? is the hotel holding to much?
