  • Are beams bedded into solid natural ground or controlled fill as designed by the engineer?

  • Is correct coverage of reinforcement maintained?

  • Re-entrant reinforcement placed at all inward facing corners.

  • Are edge rebates a minimum of 20mm in depth?

  • Check exterior masonry will not over hang in excess of 15mm.

  • If the edge exceeds 150mm in depth, is the minimum width of the edge beam at the base of the rebate more than 200mm?
