Visual Inspection

  • Lubricate lift chain with light machine oil

Electrical

  • Ensure control panel is secure

  • Check for exposed wire, repair as required

  • Inspect wire connection at drive motors for exposed/unsecured wire

  • Inspect cable festoon for missing/damaged rollers

  • Inspect trolley wiring for exposed/ damaged wires

  • Inspect control pendant for exposed/ damaged wires

  • Inspect pendant chain for damage, secure

Lifting Beam

  • Inspect wood load members for cracks, splits or delamination

  • Ensure attaching hardware is tight and secure, inspect for wear

  • Inspect hook adjusting trunnions for wear/ damage

  • Inspect load pins on lifting hooks for wear/ damage

  • Inspect hook engagement throat for wear/ damage 5/8" min to center

  • Inspect "A" lifting plate for wear/ damage

  • Inspect tie straps for wear, damage, and proper engagement

Operational Inspection

  • Proper forward/reverse drive

  • Proper lift/lower operation

  • Proper left/right traverse

Power Supply Inspection

  • Inspect power cable reel for wear/ damage (if applicable)

  • Inspect SO cable for infeed power for worn exposed wires

  • Inspect free movement on retraction and swivel (if applicable)

  • Reinstall Panels

  • Wipe Down Unit As Required

Labels & Decals

  • Placement of safety labels

  • Ensure function labels are intact
