Guidelines for completing the audit:

Audit the driver from the time he enters the gate to the time he exits, once the load is finished go to the gantry to complete the checks on the tanker.

Audit Checklist

  • Enter Drivers Name

  • Enter Operators Name

  • Enter Truck Registrations

  • Did the tank truck stop on entering site to ensure no vehicles following?

  • Did the driver stop the truck at the stop sign prior to entering gantry?

  • Did the driver wind up windows and turn off electrical equipment within the cab?

  • Has the driver parked the truck in the correct position?

  • Did the driver use 3 points of contact when exiting the cab?

  • Has the driver isolated the truck upon exiting the cab?

  • Is the driver wearing the correct PPE?

  • Did the driver connect the scully and check for a green light?

  • Did the driver connect the VR hose correctly?

  • Did the driver drain all compartment using the slops removal system?

  • Has the driver connected all load out hoses correctly (90degrees) and opened valves?

  • Has the driver opened the trucks foot valves?

  • Does the driver remain at the DKI controller throughout the load?

  • Has there been any other drivers interrupting the driver while loading? If yes which driver?

  • Once the load is complete, has the driver disconnected loadout out arms, VR hose and scully? and in that order?

  • Has the driver done a full check around the truck making sure they are clear to exit the gantry?

  • Has the driver tagged the BOL reader and retrieved BOL?

  • Has the driver driven up to and stopped at the gate pad, waited for the gate to open fully, and not tailgated other trucks through the exit gate?

  • Has the driver de-isolated the truck and used 3 points of contact while entering the cab?

  • Is the trailer fitted with a drip tray?

  • Is the drain valve on the drip tray closed and sealed?

  • Check the trucks condition, are there any cracked lights, exposed wires etc?

  • Are the fire extinguishers tested and tagged?

  • Does the truck/trailer have a current safe load pass?
