Scoring System

  • For each criteria in this Field Verification provide a score from 1 - 5 to indicate the Field Officer's level of proficiency. The scoring system is as follows:

  • 1. Not yet trained/does not understand the task/skill.

  • 2. Has basic understanding of the task, but doesn’t always recognise when task needs to be performed, or cannot to perform the task without assistance.

  • 3. Mostly understands the task but still requires further coaching to operate at the required level. Performs the task when required.

  • 4. Competent – understands the task and completes it every time.

  • 5. Has mastered the skill, could be considered an expert.

Good Performance is

  • Tip head left in good condition for next operator (Tip head compliance).

  • Monitoring trucks and respond immediately to stoppages.

  • Accurate delay records.

  • Maintain dump RL to correct level.

  • Ensure tip head is pushed and ready for resurvey in timely matter.

In field dump checklist

  • Know how Perform Buzzer Test on the Terrain Screen?

  • Are the bund heights at 1.8m and not too high or thick where loads cannot go over tip head and cause script failure?

  • Does operator survey at least 0.5m to 1m off the dump face, and understand why? Download LiDAR scan of highwall dump to show Dozer operator why?

  • Does the virtual and physical mine model match, so that the AHT do not pick up bunding as obstacles?

  • Is the dump to the correct RL

  • Does the dozer operator take action to correct the RL if the dump is low.

  • Is operator pushing dump with a 3% rise, to allow for compaction

  • Does the operator understand the difference between Cat 1, 2, 3 material and the effect it has on dumps and compaction

  • Does the Dozer operator know how to set a Dozer Manage Dump Spot.

  • Does the operator know and understand how to reopen dump spot points be topped up?

  • Does Operator know the difference between the “dump plan” and a “dump group? (The dump group is a set of points within the dump plan. Dumps can have one or multiple groups. Multiple groups are used to optimise the throughput / truck allocation via multiple queue and exit points.) <br>

  • Is everything inside the dynamic area surveyed correctly? ie. Light vehicles and lighting plants

  • Has dozer been fuelled outside of dynamic area and off truck paths to allow trucks to keep flowing in and out of dump?

  • Does the Operator understand and know how to use, all the AH icons on the Terrain Screen?

  • Does Operator know the Terrain Colour Conventions for Toe/Crest e.g. Crest is magenta / Toe is dark blue / Coal toe is cyan / Ramps and AMA zone boundaries are orange / Intersection/Road design is yellow / Information zone is white / An active misfire is a yellow zero

AH control assisted improvements

  • Are the maximum loads per dump spot set to the correct number? (not defaulted to 3) Let control Builder or field officers know if 3 loads per spot is unachievable

  • Are the trucks cusping in a way that is ideal for traffic flow but also do not "box in" the dozer so that it cannot keep up with pushing material?

  • Is the dump script (tray up % and time etc) set to the ideal parameters for the dump?

  • Does operator communicate with field officer or builder if they need help with dump plane.

  • Does the operator know that they can request a preferred cusp preference?

  • Does Operator know the meaning of an expanding bubble and actions required when one occurs ?

Summary

  • Detail further observations

  • Detail any CMW feedback received.
