WEEKLY CHECKS - These checks are to be completed on a weekly basis. If the checkbox is checked then the item/task is deemed satisfactory. If there is any non conforming items the box must remain unchecked until the task is completed. If a task is incomplete because of damaged equipment, then a picture must be taken using the media facility at the end of the audit. The FM must be notified immediately, and then the item logged within the Corrective Action Log located on the Shared Drive.

CV Equipment Cleaning - Incl. Group Cycling Bikes

  • Weekly Checks:

    1. Get on all cycles one by one and start pedalling, moving the weight of your body backwards and forwards, and from left to right. Check whether the saddle stem exhibits excessive play in following these shifts in body weight.
    2. Get on all cycles/steppers/x-trainers/AMTs one by one and start pedalling, moving the weight of your body backwards and forwards, and from left to right. Check whether the pedal exhibits excessive play.
    3. When treadmills are stopped, check the state of wear and tension of the entire surface of the tread belt, turning it by hand. If any anomalies are found, call in the authorized Technical Service.
    4. Set treadmills moving at a speed of approximately 10 km/h (7 mph), check the centering of the tread belt. If any anomalies are found, call in the authorized Technical Service.

    1. Check the state of wear of the rubber parts, this operation applies to handles, knobs, mats, frame guards, bell covers, Selection top, feet. Report if they show evident signs of wear.
    2. Hoover underneath kit ensuring that attention is placed to feet area.
    3. Check that the additional weight slides smoothly.
    4. Check that the screws and bolts are firmly tightened, especially in the weight stack and seat adjustment areas, and around moving parts in general. Report any that are loose.
    5. Check that the machine is level, and adjust its height if necessary by turning the foot.
    6. Check all cable attachments and karabiners for damage and wear. Any faults found put equipment out of order & report as above.
