Guidance

  • The aim of the Health & Safety Committee is to disseminate the latest ground handling operations safety information to the employees and to discuss and raise to the Station Manager any occupational and operational safety concerns. It will service as the forum for discussion of safety performance and safety objectives, as well as giving members the opportunity to raise safety concerns or suggestions for safety improvement.

  • Safety committees allow for oversight and review of safety performance through Stobart
Aviation Services operations. They also ensure a framework for safety-related issues to be
raised in a formal environment that includes senior and accountable managers.

  • Safety Related Committees are held and Chaired in accordance with their respected Terms
    of Reference.

  • The Deputy Chair / allocated ‘Minute Taker’ shall have the responsibility for the recording and
producing of minutes and ‘Actions’ from the meeting. They shall also enter any assigned
‘Actions’ from the meeting into the action tracking system.

  • All Actions arising from Safety Related Committees shall be minuted and tracked using the
Action tracking system to monitor accountability and manage suitable and timely closures.
All Actions shall be assigned based on SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic
    and Time-bound) objectives.

  • The Chair shall be assigned as the ‘Action Owner’, with the closure of Actions arising being
the responsibility of the ‘Actionee' to close directly on the Action tracking system.
