Checks

Each tractor /agricultural vehicle must be checked by the driver daily before use and this form filled in. The following checks should be carried out in accordance with the training given/tractor manual. These checks need to be checked weekly by a Manager.

Tractor hours reading:

Check diesel level and fill up if necessary

Check engine oil level and top up if necessary

Check radiator coolant level and top up if necessary

Check wheel/tyre condition

Check tyres appear to be correctly inflated
-
Check for hydraulic fluid systems leaks (check floor)

Check that 3-point linkage is complete & undamaged

Check PTO guard is in place and in good condition
-
Check parking brake is working correctly
-
Check glass & plastic components are intact
