1. Visually

  • Trolley is clean and free from dangerous edges

  • All baskets are in place and in good condition

  • No signs of rust

2. Wheels

  • Wheels run freely through 360' and have no flat sections

  • Wheels turn through 360'

  • Rubber treads in good condition (not loose or excessively worn)

  • Fixings are secure (not loose or showing excessive wobble when being pushed?)

  • Lubricated (not squeaking)

  • Unit stability on the wheels

3. Base

  • Platform clean and free from damage

4. Cage baskets

  • Fits the base unit easily without requiring excessive force

  • Removable baskets are not damaged, distorted or bent to prevent safe engagement

5. Handle

  • No sharp or raised edges

6. Operation

  • Brakes (if fitted) operate satisfactorily

  • The unit is working properly
