Opening Checklist

  • CHECK OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT - Check the windows, banners, lamps and overall cleanliness.

  • READ THE MANAGER LOG - Review pendings.

  • CHECK THE DINING ROOM - Check bar, hostess and dining room. Cleanliness and organization.

  • CHECK THE RESTROOMS - Be sure the restrooms are clean and have enough hand's soap and toilet paper.

  • DAILY PHYSICAL INVENTORY - Count beer and liquors. Review variances on Crunch Time.

  • DIVIDE SECTIONS ON THE FLOOR CHART.

  • DIVIDE CLEANING DUTIES.

  • FILL UP THE INFORMATION WHITEBOARD - Write the most important information of the day (Sales budget, meal and drink of the day, sales contest, 86, etc.)

  • TURN ON THE AC - Set up to an adequate temperature.

  • FILL UP THE "HAVE A GREAT SHIFT" SHEET - Identify articles on 86, meal and drink of the day, and other important information.

  • PERFORM THE "HAVE A GREAT SHIFT" MEETING - Be sure all the associates are present.

  • DO THE BAR LINE CHECK - Be sure the bartender is ready to open. Give the necessary indications.

  • CHECK THE SERVER'S OPENING - Confirm everything is clean. Be sure the station is stocked.

  • REVIEW THE "GREAT FEEDBACK" CALENDAR - If you have any pending, give feedback to that associate.

  • Who will recieve Feedback today?

  • PERFORM THE "HAVE A GREAT SHIFT" AGAIN - Make sure all the associates that just clocked in are present.
